About James Redfield

In 1993, 43-years-old therapist James Redfield self-published his first novel entitled “The Celestine Prophecy.”  It gives Nine Insights into greater spirituality. The immediate ground swell of enthusiasm from booksellers and readers made “The Celestine Prophecy” one of the most successful self-published books of all time with over 20 million copies sold, translated into 34 languages and spending over 3 years on the New York Times bestsellers list and was made into a major motion picture.

Prior to “The Celestine Prophecy,” James majored in sociology at Auburn University and earned a Master’s degree in counseling. James spent more than 15 years as a therapist to abused adolescents.
